Drive from Dar es Salaam toward Nyerere. After check-in, take a late-afternoon Rufiji River boat safari where included and operational.

Day 2Full-Day Nyerere Safari
Nyerere National Park
Destination: Nyerere
Full-day game drive through Nyerere’s woodland, floodplain and riverine environments. Wildlife opportunities include elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, hyena and, with luck, African wild dog.
Night Accommodation: Same Nyerere property
Day 3Nyerere to Mikumi
Nyerere National Park
Destinations: Nyerere, Mikumi
Overland transfer to Mikumi. This is primarily a travel day and arrival time depends on road and traffic conditions. If practical, add a short afternoon drive.

Day 4Full-Day Mikumi Safari
Nyerere National Park
Destination: Mikumi
Explore Mikumi’s Mkata floodplain and surrounding habitats.

Day 5Mikumi to Dar es Salaam
Nyerere National Park
Destination: Mikumi
After breakfast, return to Dar es Salaam with an optional short morning wildlife drive if timing allows.
