7-Day Mount Meru & Serengeti Safari

Destination: Mount Meru Complete Arusha National Park formalities and begin the professionally guided Mount Meru trek from the Momella side. The lower route passes through forest and wildlife habitat, so the climb is conducted with the required park support and ranger procedures. The day is paced conservatively and ends at Miriakamba Hut, allowing the body to settle into the mountain environment.

Night accommodation: Miriakamba Hut

Destination: Mount Meru Continue upward from Miriakamba toward Saddle Hut as the vegetation changes from forest to heath and more open volcanic scenery. The professional guide sets the pace and monitors the group. Depending on conditions and the official plan, an optional acclimatisation outing in the Saddle area may be included, but no technical or self-guided ascent is expected.

Night accommodation: Saddle Hut

Destination: Mount Meru Undertake the guided summit sector only if weather, park guidance and the climber's condition are suitable. The upper mountain is demanding, and the lead guide or ranger has final authority over turnaround decisions. After the summit attempt, descend to a lower sleeping altitude for recovery. The package deliberately describes the day at a high level rather than treating the mountain as a self-guided challenge.

Night accommodation: Miriakamba Hut

Destination: Mount Meru / Arusha Descend through the lower mountain environment to Momella Gate, complete park formalities and meet the transfer vehicle. Return to Arusha for rest or continue to the next safari component. The descent day is kept simple because legs can be tired after the summit sector.

Night accommodation: Rivertrees Country Inn or Forest Hill Hotel

Destination: Serengeti Transfer to the airport for a scheduled light-aircraft flight into the Serengeti. On landing, meet the safari guide and begin wildlife viewing directly from the airstrip, turning the transfer to camp into the first game drive. Flying removes a long road sector and is especially useful for short itineraries. Exact departure times, baggage limits and airstrip routing remain subject to the operating airline.

Night accommodation: Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge or Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Destination: Serengeti Spend a complete day exploring the central Serengeti, using early morning and late afternoon conditions for strong wildlife opportunities. The guide follows current animal movement rather than a rigid circuit, with time around kopjes, river valleys and open plains. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and large plains-game herds are possible, but no specific sighting is guaranteed. Lunch can be taken in the field or at camp according to the day plan.

Destination: Serengeti / Arusha Enjoy a final short wildlife drive if the flight schedule allows, then transfer to the Serengeti airstrip for the scheduled flight to Arusha. This fly-out protects the final day from a long overland return and makes the package easier to connect with an international departure, Zanzibar flight or additional Tanzania arrangements. Final reporting time and baggage allowance are confirmed in the travel documents.
