7-Day Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Zanzibar Escape

Destination: Arusha Meet the Pori & Beyond Safaris team on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer to your hotel. This first day is deliberately light so you can recover from the international journey, review the route with the safari team and confirm luggage, dietary and flight details. If arrival is early, a gentle optional Arusha activity can be arranged, but the itinerary does not force a long park transfer on the same day.

Destination: Tarangire Leave Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park. After entry formalities, begin a game drive among baobab woodland, open savannah and the Tarangire River system. The park is especially well known for elephants, while giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and predators are also possible. The day allows time for a picnic or lodge lunch before continuing wildlife viewing toward the overnight property.

Destination: Tarangire / Ngorongoro Enjoy a final Tarangire wildlife drive before leaving the park and travelling toward Karatu and the Ngorongoro highlands. The shorter transfer creates a more relaxed day than driving directly to Serengeti, and it positions the group well for the crater the next morning. Arrive at the lodge with time for dinner and rest.

Destination: Ngorongoro / Arusha Descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a focused safari among grassland, wetlands and forest patches inside the caldera. The crater supports a dense concentration of wildlife and offers strong opportunities for buffalo, lion, zebra, wildebeest, hippo and, with luck, black rhino. After a picnic lunch and final game drive, climb back to the highlands and continue to Arusha. Driving time varies with traffic, road conditions and the length of the crater visit.

Destination: Arusha / Zanzibar Transfer to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport for the scheduled flight to Zanzibar. The exact airport and departure time depend on the airline and travel date. After landing, meet the coastal driver and continue to the beach property. No major island excursion is forced onto the arrival day, leaving time to settle in after the safari.

Destination: Zanzibar Enjoy an unhurried day on Zanzibar with time for the beach, pool and hotel facilities. Optional activities such as a reef excursion, spice experience, Stone Town walk, sunset cruise or cultural visit can be added according to interests, tides and weather. Keeping genuine free time after safari is part of the design; the island section should feel restorative rather than like another tightly scheduled tour.

Destination: Zanzibar Enjoy breakfast and free time according to your flight schedule, then transfer to Zanzibar International Airport. Travellers connecting internationally should keep a sensible buffer between separate tickets or domestic services and the long-haul departure. The package ends after the confirmed airport transfer.
